Today the boys and girls from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th had a great time visiting the Fire Station in Ballymote. They learned all about the fire engine, the station, the protective clothing the firemen wear and the important work carried out by our Fire Service. A big thank you to all at Ballymore Fire Station for hosting us.
Today the boys and girls from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th had a very interesting visit to the Garda station in Ballymore where they learned all about the different jobs the Gardaí do and how a station operates. A big thank you to the guards in Ballymote for this interesting and fun day out.
We celebrated Halloween in style this year. Lots of parents and grandparents turned up to join us on a fancy dress Witches and Wizards Walk. This was followed by a cake sale in the school. Lots of treats were enjoyed by children and their families. A big thank you to all who supported our cake sale with baking, purchases and donations. After that Fred the Party Professor entertained everyone with a fantastic magic show. What a great day!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Board of Management, Anne and all the staff, the parents and most especially all the children for the good wishes and gifts. It was a pleasure to work in St. Aiden's National School. Thank you all for all your kindness. Signing Off. Kindest regards, Maria.
